II. Website Development
Platform
We use the WordPress platform to develop websites.
WordPress is a content management system that is capable of building a variety of websites including blogs, portfolios, and e-commerce. A plethora of designs and personal touches can be added to each site.
Domain, Hosting & Email
Domain registration and renewal is completed with the host; however, if a domain has been secured, it is easily connected to our host.
Only dedicated WordPress hosts are used for our sites. This insures seamless integration for various plugins and security.
Each host guarantees 99.9% uptime. This means your website will be available 99.9% of the time. This excludes time used for planned maintenance on the host's servers.
Each site may be equipped with up to 10 secure email aliases.
Security
Each website is equipped with multiple security software that include:
- SSL Certificate - establishes an encrypted connection and verifies site identity
- Anti-Spam which automatically blocks unwanted comments
- Malware Scans that protects the site from damage, disruption or unauthorized access.
- Firewalls that protects the site from malicious traffic that includes viruses and hackers
- Daily Backups of each site to insure site availability
- Compliance software for cookie ( small files stored on computers by websites to remember user browsing activity) consent and to comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
Performance
Each website is equipped with software to boost performance which include:
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - improves website search rankings
- Site Search - enables visitors to quickly find what they are searching for on your site
- Optimization - improves SEO (Search Engine Optimization), resizes images to appropriate sizes, and faster site load times
